Dalmally Fitness Fun Day was held at the shinty pitch on May 29th and was a great success. Lots of fun was had by the adults on the purpose built obstacle course, as well the kids who were in charge of cooling the entrants with water guns! We clambered over hay bales, through tunnels and across the river bead to beautiful Bluebell Island. What a day!
It was great to see so many of you coming out to support both myself and the local stall holders. There’s nothing like getting together, having fun and working up a sweat, is there?!
I would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported the day including the local businesses that donated raffle prizes which helped raise a total of £180 for Taynuilt and Dalmally Primary schools. John Marshall & Sons were also a huge help in setting up the obstacles and providing me with the tractor & trailer zumba “stage”!
And I can’t forget the Oban Firefighters who happened to be out doing water rescue training and took the kids up on a tug of war challenge; little did they know they would be sabotaged with buckets of water and cow shampoo! So much fun – I can’t wait to see everyone at next years event.
